Rick Hudson and Tom Hench are a singer/songwriter duo from the Dover area whose songs reflect life below the canal on the Delmarva Peninsula. Combining a mix of folk, Americana, blues, and “back porch” music, they are storytellers who sing of the experiences of everyday life; from pets, to green-head flies, to driving in Lower Slower Delaware, to Delaware history, and even horse shoe crabs! Accompanying themselves on guitar, banjo, autoharp, harmonica, tin whistle, or bass, Rick and Tom provide audiences with a sometimes funny, sometimes serious, but always entertaining musical trip through life here on the Delmarva Peninsula. They have recently performed in Dover and are both winners of the Delaware Friends of Folk “Folk Hero” contest held each year in connection with the Delmarva Folk Festival. A sample of original music from their first album “Delmarva Moon” and their most recent album “Dogs, Cats, And Other Critters” may be heard below.
